The Holiday has its roots in religion, but nowadays takes an increasingly commercial form that goes far beyond just celebrating with candy and horror movies. In English speaking countries, especially in the USA and United Kingdom, children dress up in scary costumes and walk from house to house asking for candy, cookies and sweets, using the phrase "trick or treat?". In the majority of cases children are treated with candy, but for anyone too scared to answer the door, a special kind of "justice" awaits.
